Deputy Commissioner, Niuland, T. L. Kiusumong Tikhir, convened a meeting on District TB Forum & District AIDS Prevention and Control Committee (DAPCC) at DC’s Conference Hall Niuland on 26th May 2026.
During the meeting Dr. Renchilo Ngullie, District Program Officer (DPO), Communicable Diseases (CD)-11 and Orenthung Ngullie, DPO DISHA, gave the comprehensive presentation on status of TB & AIDS in the district.
Various problems and challenges such as logistics problems, shortage of equipment, stigma and shortage of manpower were deliberated during the meeting.
Tikhir, while chairing the meeting urged the concern officers to reach out to district administration for any help and support. DC also requested the DPO CD-11 to intensify the TB screening in the district.
Members from the DISHA, DPO CD-11, NGOs and Student Leaders attended the meeting.
