The bye-election to Ward No. 9 (Samba Ghoki) of the Atoizu Town Council was conducted successfully and peacefully. The election witnessed a straight contest between G. Shikavi Kiba of the Nagaland People's Front (NPF) and independent candidate Inaka Z Chishi. Polling concluded without any untoward incident, and election officials reported smooth conduct of the poll.
