The Department of Higher Education, Nagaland is implementing the Nagaland Government Ex-Gratia Scheme for Students Studying Outside Nagaland (NGESSO) which provides an Ex-Gratia of ₹ 5 Lakh in the event of any unfortunate deaths of indigenous Naga Students of Nagaland who are studying outside the State in different parts of the country. In order to avail this scheme, students have to register themselves with the Directorate of Higher Education, Nagaland.

For the academic year 2026-2027, Registration Form (Fresh/Renewal) and necessary information are available on the Directorate`s Website https://highereducation.nagaland.gov.in for download.

            Last date for receiving Registration Form is 30^th September, 2026.
