In connection with the celebration of National Sports Day 2026 and "Khelo India Dialogue - Khel Ki Baat PM Modi Ke Sath", the NSS Wing of Yingli College, Longleng will be organizing a special programme on the topic "National Sports Day"" on 27th August, 2026 (Thursday) at 09:00: AM at Borgohain Hall, Yingli College, Longleng.

The programme is being organized as per the directives of the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, Sports Authority of India (SAI) and MY Bharat.

The event will include live screening / discussion of the Khelo India Dialogue held on 24th August 2026, talk on importance of sports and fitness, Fit India pledge, and interaction with sportspersons of the district.

All students of Yingli College, NSS Volunteers, NCC Volunteers, non-volunteers, teaching and non-teaching staff, stakeholders, officials, non-officials, NGOs, MY Bharat Volunteers, Department of Youth Resources & Sports, Nehru Yuva Kendra and the youth of Longleng District are cordially requested to witness and be a part of the celebration.

National Sports Day is celebrated every year on 29th August to commemorate the birth anniversary of hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand and to promote sports culture and fitness as a way of life.
