Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto, Dharam Raj (IAS), issued a Travel Advisory on 19th August stating that, in view of road damage caused by a landslide due to incessant rain along NH 702A, Zunheboto-Mokokchung Road at New Colony, the road shall remain temporarily closed until further orders. The following traffic regulations shall remain strictly in force.

All heavy vehicles (including loaded trucks and pickups), all light vehicles, and any commercial vehicles plying between Zunheboto and Mokokchung are hereby diverted to take the Old Mokokchung Road/Check Post Road.

The public and commuters are requested to strictly adhere to the advisory and cooperate with the authorities until the road is restored, follow traffic signage, and comply with the instructions of officials deployed at the site.

This advisory is issued in the interest of public safety.
