A training programme on District Census Handbook for Village and Directory for Field Functionaries was held at DC’s Conference Hall, Shamator on 22nd September 2026, with SDO (C), Shamator, Athrong addressing the programme.

He spoke on the importance of providing correct and accurate information during the Census exercise, emphasizing that reliable data is essential to reflect the actual and current demographic and socio-economic profile of villages.

He also urged the trainees to remain attentive throughout the training and to thoroughly understand the procedures and use of the prescribed applications to avoid errors. He further emphasized that the Census exercise is technology-based, field functionaries must be well acquainted with the applications and ensure that data is entered accurately and responsibly.
