Home Department has issued a circular stating that along with the rest of the country, Nagaland will also observe the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on 31st October 2022 to foster and reinforce our dedication to preserving and strengthening the unity, integrity, and security of our nation.

The circular stated that a pledge-taking ceremony is to be organized by all the HODs in their Directorate respectively as well as in all the district offices for which further instructions may be issued at their levels.

The text of the pledge is reproduced below:

"I solemnly pledge that I dedicate myself to preserve the unity, integrity, and security of the nation and also strive hard to spread this message among my fellow countrymen. I take this pledge in the spirit of unification of my country which was made possible by the vision and action of Sadar Vallabhbhai Patel, I also solemnly resolve to make my own contribution to ensure internal security of my country."

It added that a report of action taken may be submitted by all HODs to Home Department positively.
