On September 19, 2023, the District Sports Office in Longleng has announced the establishment of two Khelo India Centers in Longleng Headquarters. These centers will focus on the disciplines of Football and Badminton, with the aim of nurturing young talent in these sports.

In this regard, the District Sports Office will be conducting a selection trial for children below 14 years of age who are interested in joining these Khelo India Centers. The selection trial is scheduled to take place on 28th September 2023 at 8 AM at Longleng Town Local Ground. The purpose of this trial is to identify young and promising athletes who will have the opportunity to receive specialized training and coaching at these centers.
