In view of the International Day of Girl Child, and under Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao campaign, Deputy Commissioner Niuland, Sara S Jamir, issued a circular for painting competition that will be held on 11th Oct 2023 at 11 am in the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner Niuland. The theme of the painting competition is "Women Empowerment"

Following schools have been requested to send three girl participants for the competition: Reginald Hughes Shaw school, Shepherd High school, Modern High school, St Joseph school and Govt Higher Secondary school.
