The inaugural program of Interdepartmental Tournament 2023 was held at Badminton Stadium, Phek on 23th Nov'23 with SP Phek, Dr. Pritpal Kaur Batra, IAS, as the Special Guest.

In her inaugural speech Dr. Kaur read Bible verse 2nd Timothy-2:5 and said "An Athlete is not crowded unless he competes according to the rules" and stated that sports teaches us discipline, team work, dedication and sports spirit. She also said that sports maintain our body and mental health, that prevents diseases in health, hence everyone should always play games as per one's interest and capabilities, she said.

Special guest, then inaugurated the two days Inter Dept Tournament (23-24th Nov'23) by Badminton and shuttle shot, after which an exhibition match was played by SP Phek, CO 5th NAP, DC Phek and others.

Oath taking was conducted by Wutsutho Nyuthe, DSO Phek. Tsenthungo E.Ngullie NCS, SDO(c) & Convener, Inter Departmental Tournament delivered welcome address.

Invocation prayer and special song were offered and presented by Thungchibemo, Pastor, Lotha Baptist Church Phek and Nekhoyi Stephen Rhakho respectively. Program was chaired by Er. Kesoweu Wetsah, AUDO, Phek.
