Joint Assam Rifles-Army Ex-Servicemen (ESM) Rally was held at Kohima Garrison on 10th November 2022 under the aegis of IGAR (North) with the theme ' We Care, We Share'.

During the program Inspector General (IG) Assam Rifles Major General Vikash Lakhera said that the government acknowledges and recognizes the noble service and sacrifices made by the Ex-Servicemen which includes Assam Rifles, Indian Army, Indian Airforce, and Indian Navy. The IG also thanked the Commander 5 Sector and CO 1 AR and the representatives from Zila Sainik Board for holding the event in a befitting manner. Lakhera quoted, " once a soldier is always a soldier" and said that the army men are bounded by creed to serve one another as a family and said that the service rendered to the nation by the Ex-Servicemen will never be forgotten.

Inspector General also said that the rally is held after every two years to facilitate and honor the brave soldiers and urged the Ex-Servicemen to take their grievances if any to their battalion or Has for redressal. He also requested the Ex-Servicemen to avail the facilities from the stalls that have been set up for their benefit.

Stalls like ARESA, Pension Cell, Banks, Pramereica, Raja Sainik Board, Bike Stall, Medical and Dental Check-up Camp, CSD, ARWWA shop, ECHS/CGHS, Records- Kumaon & Naga Regiment, Records- Assam Regiment, Raymond Tailoring Training Centre, Agriculture Deptt, Telecom Stall, Horticulture Deptt, AADHAAR card/ PAN card, DRZ (East), ARO, 3 Corps, Veterans Cell, H23 Corps, State Legal Service, ITI Kohima, and AR Sparsh Stall were put up for the Ex-Servicemen.
