The first meeting of Kohima District Planning and Development Board for the year 2023 was held on 19th January 2023 in DPDB's Conference Hall Kohima under the chairmanship of DPDB Chairman & MLA Keneizhakho Nakhro.

The Chairman welcomed the members to the first meeting of the year and expressed his happiness to see all the members again.

During the meeting, DC and Vice Chairman DPDB Kohima Shanavas C IAS said that the Election is around the corner and as per the Election guidelines Assured Minimum Facilities (AMF) should be available in all the Polling Stations where the majority of the Polling Stations are at School buildings, he, therefore, asked all the line departments PHED, Power, Social Welfare, Education and other related departments to ensure that the facilities of running water, drinking water, power connection, ramp for PwDs voters and school toilets, etc. are set up at the earliest.

The meeting reviewed the last meeting minutes and took up the agenda on the registration of societies. The house decided to recommend Angami Public Organization; Sangtam Baptist Church Kohima Welfare Society; Baptist College Alumni Association, Mission Compound Kohima, and Go-Taxi Service, Kezuozou, Kohima to the Government for further necessary action after verifying the necessary criteria and data. In regard to Viswema Disabled Parents' Association, the house decided that the matter be taken up through the concerned department of Social Welfare for further action

PowerPoint presentation on the implementation activities of Jal Jeevan Mission taken up under Kohima Urban and Rural was presented by the PHED Department. The next departmental activities presentation was entrusted to Sericulture Department.
