Administrator and Electoral Registration Officer, Kohima Municipal Council, T. Lanusenla Longkumer on 3rd October 2022 informed the general public within Kohima Municipality that the house-to-house enumeration for preparation of ERoll for Kohima Municipal Council 2022 has been completed on 24th September 2022 and the Draft ERoll will be published on 4th October 2022 as notified by the State Election Commission.

The Administrator informed that the publication of Electoral Roll in Draft will be issued to all Wards for reference and the period for claims and objections regarding the inclusion of name, objection to the inclusion of name, or objection to particulars in any entry (correction) is opened from 05th October 2022 to 21st October 2022.

The KMC also informed that the documents required for Form 3 (Inclusion of name) are Passport with a photocopy of any document like Aadhaar, Identity Card, PAN card, Birth Certificate, EPIC, Driving license, etc. Any document is required for Form 4 (objection to the entry of name) and for Form 5 (objection to particulars entered in Draft Roll/ Correction) recent passport size photo can be submitted if photo is wrong and a photocopy of any document is required if name/Age/ Father's/Husband's name is wrongly entered. The citizens are requested to indicate their Ward No. and Part No. (Polling Station) clearly.

The notification further informed that each Ward has been divided into different parts (polling stations) and the Enumerators have been assigned for each part with a copy of Draft ERoll for easy access and to ensure maximum reach to all the citizens and eligible voters to avail the opportunity.
