Advisor, School Education,K. T Sukhalu, IAS (Rtd) launched tablets for Class 8-12 students studying in Government Schools in Aspirational District Kiphire at a virtual launch programme on 3rd June 2021.
Speaking at the event Sukhalu said that the last couple of years have been a challenge for the students as well as the teachers because of the ongoing pandemic and although there has been success stories, a lot of issues still needed to be addressed. He highlighted the issue of connectivity with regard to certain pockets of the State, especially the far flung and remote areas and said that the tablets would definitely help the students as the tablets does not require any data connectivity and are preloaded with all the required study materials. He urged the teachers and parents to collectively work together to ensure that the students are not deprived of their education. He concluded by thanking the teachers for their hard work and sacrifice during these tough times and added that their sacrifice today will result in a better tomorrow.
The virtual launch programme was chaired by Mission Director Samagra Shiksha, Temsunaro Aier NCS. Altogether, 1,097 tablets are ready to be dispatched at the earliest. The tablets do not require any internet connectivity as they are preloaded with all the required study materials in accordance with the syllabus with topic wise video lectures, MCQs, explanations and solved question and answers.
