LANDSLIDES DAMAGE PROPERTIES AT NOKLAK

Landslides were reported to have occurred in Noklak on 23rd June 2022
around 3.30 AM at Kaongao sector, Noklak; Nokyan village and Dem sector.

The landslides damaged a house partially- bathrooms and a toilet were washed away, and also caused roadblocks.

The district administration has suggested immediate road clearance and evacuation of affected family members.

As the rain continues to pour heavily in the district, the common people have been put in danger, also bringing hurdles to daily activities, the DDMA is taking all possible means to mitigate the situation. Participation of line departments, stakeholders, and communities is much more needed in this hour of hardship, DDMA personnel said.
