The launching program of the NBOCWWB (Nagaland Building and Other Construction Workers' Welfare Board) documentary videos took place at the Conference Hall, Information & Public Relations on December 13, 2023.

The Director of IPR, Dzüvinuo, commended the collaboration between the IPR Department and NBOCWWB in promoting the welfare of migrant workers. She emphasized the significant role of storytellers in bringing societal issues to light. The Director launched the documentaries titled "Building dreams: Journey of Naga Construction Workers," directed by Kivini Shohe of Riverrocks Films, and "All in a Day’s Work," directed by Sesino Yhoshu of Takeone Production House. 

Deputy Labour Commissioner & CEO of NBOCWWB, T. Chubayanger, provided a brief history of NBOCWWB and its efforts to bring social security advantages to the workforce. He stressed the importance of replacing migrant workers with local forces and highlighted the success stories from the Eastern part of Nagaland. T. Chubayanger expressed the need to address unemployment and ensure a transition to local workers.

Sesino Yhoshu shared a producer's perspective on "immigrant workers engaged in Nagaland in the building and other construction sectors." She expressed gratitude to the Department of Information & Public Relations and NBOCWWB for providing the opportunity to produce documentaries that narrate the stories of immigrant workers. Sesino acknowledged that the film showcased the often-overlooked contributions of undocumented and unregistered workers in building the homes of our society. The documentary, titled "All in a Day’s Work," delved into the personal stories and everyday lives of immigrant construction workers, highlighting the indomitable human spirit to survive.

The NBOCWWB in collaboration with the Department of Information & Public Relations has produced the documentary videos, and the videos are available on the official DIPR YouTube channel.
