In view of the celebration of Statehood Day on 1st December 2021 and the Hornbill festival, a mass social work was conducted on 30th November 2021 at Kohima with the involvement of all State government employees, the Ward/colony/village functionaries and the general public.

DC Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, NCS in a short briefing exhorted the officers supplementing the suggestion from the Chief Minister stating that ‘It is a privilege to work in the district as an officer but the privilege also come with certain responsibilities’ and toward that he underlined the importance of officers involvement, in keeping our city clean with proper sanitation which will ensure beautification and making Kohima the most livable city.

The DC also briefed the activities to oversee and co-ordinate with the community for the mass social work. The Administrator, KMC, EE PWD (R&B), EE PWD (Housing), EE PWD (NH) provided logistics along with manpower for during mass social work.
