Co-ordination meeting with all the frontal organisations and area leaders of Noklak was held on 16th September 2020 at DC’s conference hall, Noklak under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner, Noklak, Reny Wilfred, IAS.

The meeting focused on bringing a comprehensive development in the district as a collaborative effort of all the concerned stakeholders and the District Administration. DC presented an outline of a perspective plan for overall improvement in the District focusing of education career guidance, skill development, tourism, agricultural & agri processing, handicraft to boost the local economy of the District.

The house discussed on the developmental activities in the entire Noklak District in different sectors and found that there are a lot of developmental activities which need to be taken up for overall developmental and upliftment of the new District. The different organisation present shared the opinion on developmental activities in their respective area.

President, Khiamniungan Tribal Council, L.Ngon thanked the DC for taking lots of initiatives and expressed hope that it will come in to reality while assuring to extend fullest support to district administration.

President, Khiamniungan Students Union, P.Hatho presented an over all scenario of education system in Noklak. He highlighted the problems faced in government schools like shortage of teachers and proxy teacher issues. He suggested improvement of pre-school through strengthening of anganwadi centre system and the need for awareness on the scholarship schemes availability.

Forum deliberated on solving the issues with support of ANSTA and highlighted the need for a District ANSTA Noklak Chapter for bringing out the concerns and perspectives of teachers association on these issues.

The meeting concluded with District Administration taking note of all the inputs and grievance faced in the ground level expressed by the participants and assured to endeavour in all the possible ways for improving the overall conditions while calling on for mass participation of the people. Master Plan for Development of Noklak District, Vision Document on Education 2030 and Sustainable Human Resource Development Plan were deliberated in the meeting.
