The State Government implemented the Chief Minister's Health Insurance Scheme (CMHIS) by extending Health Insurance to all State Government employees and their dependents on 1st October 2022.

As per Government letter No HFW-7/B-15/2019/329 Date 2nd December 2022, all Outside State Treatment & Medical Reimbursement systems for Government servants will be discontinued immediately. However, ongoing treatment / under treatment may continue till discharged subject to settlement of Medical reimbursement bill within six months W.e.f 1st October 2022.
