Phek Town Youth Society which organized Mini Hornbill Sükrünye-cum-Inter-ward Tournament concluded on 21st January 2022 at Phek Local Ground.

The valedictory guest speaker, DRDA Project Director, Razukhru Vasa appreciated the society for taking part in various fields like cleanliness drive etc. and congratulated the players who had won in various fields, encouraging them to exhibit even in the higher levels since a lot of avenues are available for sportspersons.

The valedictory programme was chaired by its Advisor, Zavekho Vero, while invocation was pronounced by Chisata Swuro, Director, BHBC, CYE. A special presentation was sung by Shezo, Lutuzo & Keveluta, the time of acknowledgement  was taken by Nuyi Hoshi, General Secretary, PTYS, and Chikhove Keyho,  Art & Culture PTYS delivered the word of gratitude.

In the inter-ward tournament 2022 competition, the winners result were as follows: Log  cutting, 1st - Zion  ward,  2nd - Hebron-II,  3rd – Mission Compound; Traditional fire  making, 1st - Hebron-1,  2nd  position - Bethany II; Bamboo stilt race, 1st - Mission Compound, 2nd - Bible Hill, 3rd - New Ward; Folk Song, 1st - Bethany II, 2nd - Zion &  3rd - Hebron 1; Greased bamboo pole race, 1st - Bethany II, 2nd - New Ward & 3rd - Jericho II; Bamboo Pole Race, 1st - Jericho II, 2nd - Zion, 2nd -Jericho 1, 3rd Bible Hill; Tug of War (women), 1st - Hebron 1 , 2nd - Jericho II, 3rd - Bethany II, Tug of War (men-), 1st - Bible Hill, 2nd - New Colony Ward, 3rd - Bethel.
