The Japukong Senso Senden (JSS) celebrated Moatsu at Amphitheatre for Cultural and tribal utility center Longchem town on 6th May 2022 with Minister of State, Minority Affairs Government of India John Barla as the Special Guest and Minister for Tribal Affairs & Higher Education, Government of Nagaland, Temjen Imna Along Longkumer as the Chief Host.

Barla, while expressing his deep admiration for the Naga culture and attire, appreciated the people of Japukong for their warm welcome accorded to him. He lauded the Naga people for preserving their rich culture and traditions. While highlighting the various programmes and projects under his ministry, the Chief Guest announced plans to construct a community hall and a residential school in Longchem town.

The Chief Host while delivering the Moatsu greetings called upon the people of Japukong to march ahead in unity and to preserve the culture asserting that the only heritage of the people is our tradition, culture, and identity.  

        During the Cultural presentation, goodwill message and cultural extravaganza were presented by  Assam - Nagaland Borders Peace Co-ordination committee, Cultural songs were presented by Lirmen Village Council, Changdang Village Council, and traditional dances by Japu, Lakhuni, and Aonokpu villages, traditional fire-making, and traditional thread spinning were presented by Longjendang village and traditional Tug of War were presented by Longjemdang village, Satsukba village and Nokpu village respectively.

Earlier in the day, the Special Guest inaugurated the Amphitheatre for Cultural and Tribal Utility Centre which was funded by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs Government of India.
