Deputy Commissioner Peren, Vineet Kumar, in a public notice, informed that a joint meeting was held on 20th July 2023 at the Additional Deputy Commissioner Office, Jalukie, with the Village Council of Heningkunglwa and New Ngwalwa, along with NZPO and ZOAN, regarding the 2-lane National Highway 129A Package IV. It was agreed that the two villages have given their NOC for the construction of NH129A in the disputed area (Chainage 169.050 to 173.850, 4.8 km).

The pre-harvest festival of the Ao Naga, Tsungremmong, will be celebrated at Mangmetong Village on 2nd August 2023. The celebration programme is being organized by the Village Council, Mangmetong, in honor of the Governor of Nagaland, La Ganesan.

On the 24th of July 2023, Deputy Commissioner Arikumba of Noklak issued a circular in response to reports of some Village Councils/Ward Authorities issuing or enforcing Inner Line Permit (ILP) without the mandate or knowledge of the state Government, deeming such actions as illegal.
