Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer Zunheboto Rahul Bhanudas Mali IAS, in an order, notified for the general information of all concerned that as per Section 126 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, the campaigning period for General Election to the 14 Nagaland Legislative Assembly shall come to an end w.e.f 4:00 PM- 25/02/2023 and that there is the prohibition of public meeting during the period of forty-eight hours fixed for the conclusion of poll.

In accordance with Section 353 of the Representation of the People Act, 1951, and in view of the forthcoming General Election to the 14 Nagaland Legislative Assembly, the day of polling on 27/2/2023 (Monday) is declared as Paid Holiday for all the employees of Government PSUs/Banks/ Financial Institutions/ Industrial undertakings/Private and all the Business Establishments including shops, in the State of Nagaland to enable them to participate and exercise their franchise.
