Initiating the general discussion on the budget for the year 2022-2023, Minister for Planning & Coordination, Land Revenue and Parliamentary  Affairs, Neiba Kronu described the budget 2022-2023 as the best ever budget presented since the government has introduced welfare schemes like the Chief Minister's Micro Finance Initiative where the government will facilitate credit flow to our hard working farmers and entrepreneurs.

Prime Minister of India, Narendra Modi congratulated Nagaland for hosting the South Asian Cross-Country Championship and 56th National Cross Country Championships, under the aegis of South Asian Athletics Federation and the Athletics Federation of India, at Kohima.

In a congratulatory letter to the selected volunteers of the South Asian Cross-Country Championships and 56th National Cross-Country Championships, Abu Metha, Co-Convenor, Organising Committee said it is an honour for all the people involved in organising the event since it is going to be one of the Nagaland's biggest sport events and one of the most significant events in the history of Nagaland.<
