The variant B.1.1.529 was labelled as a Variant of Concern on and given the name Omicron on 26th Nov 2021. Omicron is a highly divergent variant with around 26-32 mutations in the spike protein with potential for immune escape and higher transmissibility.
STATE GOVT DECLARES 23rd DECEMBER AS HOLIDAY FOR BANKS AND FINANCIAL INSTITUTIONS
The State Government has notified that 23rd (Thursday) December 2021 is declared as a holiday for Banks and Financial Institutions in Nagaland under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (Act XXVI).

NIGHT CURFEW REINFORCED IN 5KM BELT OF SIVASAGAR DISTRICT BORDERING NAGALAND
Additional District Magistrate (ADM) Sivasagar, Assam has reinforced a night curfew from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM in the 5 km belt in Assam side of Sivasagar district bordering Nagaland state with effect from 18th November 2021 for a period of 60 days.
