The Chief Minister of Nagaland who is also the Minister in Charge of Finance, Neiphiu Rio presented a Budget proposal estimating the gross receipt at Rs. 22,451.28 crore and gross expenditure at Rs. 22,816.61 crore for the financial year 2021-22 during his Budget speech at the ongoing Seventh session of the Thirteen NLA on 18th February 2021.
NLA ADOPTS RESOLUTION ON NAGA POLITICAL ISSUE
On the fourth day of the seventh session of the thirteenth Legislative Assembly, Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio moved for consideration and Adopted of Assembly resolution, on 18th February, 2019.
INITIATIVES OF SCHOOL EDUCATION HIGHLIGHTED AT THE ASSEMBLY
On the fourth day of the 7th Session of the 13th NLA on 18 February, 2021, while replying to an unstarred question raised by MLA, Dr Chotisuh Sazo, Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio informed that Nagaland received 477,569 Qtls under PHH and 84,306 Qtls under AYY of rice from April to November, 2020 from the Government of India for free distribution to Ration Card holders in view of the Covid-19 pandemic.
NLA TO INTRODUCE NFRBM (AMENDMENT) BILL
At the ongoing session of the seventh session of the Thirteenth Legislative Assembly on 18th February, 2021, Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio moved that leave be granted to introduce the ‘Nagaland Fiscal Responsibility and Budget Management (Amendment) Bill, 2021. The Bill will be introduced on 19th February, 2021.
NLA DELIBERATES ON POWER REFORM IN THE STATE
Chief Minister, Neiphiu Rio addressing the discussion on matters of urgent public importance pertaining to Power Reform in Nagaland at Nagaland Legislative Assembly Secretariat on 18th February 2021, said the discussion was done to create public awareness. He informed the house that on 9th February 2021 during a cabinet meeting it was unanimously decided that there is need for reform in power sector. Rio stated that reform is needed particularly in billing and revenue sector.
NBSE NOTIFIES FOR ONLINE MEETING
The Nagaland Board of School Education has notified for that an online meeting for specific category of Heads of Institutions will be organized on 26th February 2021 at 10:00 AM to discuss the role and responsibilities of the Head of Institutions, rules and regulations, academic and examination matters.
