TSEMINYU DISTRICT GEARS UP FOR 'MERI MAATI MERA DESH' CAMPAIGN

Deputy Commissioner of Tseminyu, Dr. Tinojongshi Chang, NCS, announced that the 'Meri Maati Mera Desh' campaign will be observed from 9th to 15th August 2023 in all Village Councils under Tseminyu District. The public's active cooperation and participation were sought to celebrate India's 77th Independence Day. The Administrator of Tseminyu Town Council and the Project Director (DRDA) were tasked with informing the public about the campaign's key elements for better understanding.

PUNGRO SDPDB MONTHLY MEETING SCHEDULED FOR AUGUST 16

The Sub-Divisional Planning and Development Board (SDPDB) of Pungro has announced its monthly meeting for August 2023. The meeting is set to take place on August 16 at 11:00 AM at the ADC Office in Pungro. S. Kiusumew Yimchunger, Advisor for Fire & Emergency Services and Home Guards & Civil Defence of the Government of Nagaland and Chairman of SDPDB Pungro, will be present at the meeting. EAC Yithachu Thur, NCS, has urged all members to attend the meeting.

SCHOLARSHIP DISBURSEMENT AND VERIFICATION PROCESS FOR M/O MINORITY AFFAIRS SCHOLARSHIP SCHEMES  

In a bid to ensure the transparent and accurate disbursement of scholarships under various scholarship schemes offered by the Ministry of Minority Affairs, Government of India, for the academic year 2022-23, a comprehensive verification process has been initiated. The Ministry has collaborated with the National Council of Applied Economic Research (NCAER) to conduct physical verification of institutes and beneficiaries.

MOVEMENT OF 10-WHEELERS & ABOVE RELAXED IN MOKOKCHUNG

Deputy Commissioner of Mokokchung, Thsuvisie Poji, announced the relaxation of movement restrictions for 10-wheelers and above vehicles along NH 702D from Moriani to Dissoi/Tsurang Bridge. The decision was based on the good maintenance and condition of the road under the Border Roads Organisation (BRO).

UNAPPROVED PRIVATE AGENCY CHARGING EXORBITANT FEES FOR NBSE DOCUMENTS UNCOVERED

The Nagaland Board of School Education (NBSE) recently discovered the unauthorized that private agency had been operating as an intermediary for applicants of the Board’s documents without the knowledge of the NBSE. The agency reportedly charged exorbitant fees to the applicants before sending the application forms to the Board. This practice is unacceptable as it has the potential to tarnish the good image of the Board. It also posed a risk to the applicants.

TUENSANG DPDB MEETING RESCHEDULED

The monthly District Planning and Development Board (DPDB) meeting for Tuensang District, originally scheduled for August, has been postponed to August 16th, 2023, at 11:00 hours in the Deputy Commissioner's Conference Hall. Deputy Commissioner, Lithrongla Tongpi Rutsa has asked all DPDB members to ensure their attendance at the rescheduled meeting.
