A review meeting on the status update for all the concerned Heads of Offices in connection with the Hon'ble Prime Minister's interaction with beneficiaries of various schemes/ programmes of the Government of India was held on 27th May 2022 at the office chamber of the Deputy Commissioner, Zunheboto.

In commemoration of 75 years of India’s Independence, the schemes being implemented by the Department of Social Welfare such as ‘Poshan Abhiyaan’ and 'Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana' have been specifically highlighted as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM). POSHAN Abhiyaan is a multi-ministerial convergence mission with the vision to ensure the attainment of a malnutrition-free India by 2022.

Based on the recommendation of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 for a multi-disciplinary approach to education, the Nagaland Board of School Education will be introducing Mathematics as an elective subject in the Higher Secondary Arts stream from the academic session of 2022.
