CEO INFORMS ON REQUISITION OF VEHICLES

            In pursuance of Section 166 of the R.P. Act of 1951, the power conferred to the State Government under Section 160 to Section 165 of the R.P. Act of 1951 has been delegated to the Deputy Commissioner & District Election Officer, Tuensang and Kohima to act on behalf of the State Government for requisitioning of vehicles, premises etc., for the Bye-Election to Nagaland Legislative Assembly, 2021 from Sl-Noksen (ST) Assembly Constituency.

DoSE CAUTIONS SCHOOLS

            The Department of School Education has informed that few schools have resumed regular classes for students of Pre-Primary classes whereas the Government has allowed resuming of normal classes only for students of classes 6 and above with effect from 8th February 2021 and that for students of classes 1 to 5 with effect from 22nd  March 2021.

DC KOHIMA ISSUES ORDER ON OCCUPANCY IN COMMERCIAL VEHICLES

            In pursuance to the decision of the High Powered Committee on Covid-19 to relax the various activities in the State including the number of occupancy in commercial vehicles, Deputy Commissioner Kohima, Gregory Thejawelie, NCS has issued an order stating that in the interest of public service, the occupancy in commercial vehicles within Kohima district has been relaxed to 100%.

DC TUENSANG RELEASES MODEL CODE OF CONDUCT FOR 51-NOKSEN BYE-ELECTION            

Deputy Commissioner, Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant, IAS has stated that with the announcement of the By-election to the vacancy in the 51-Noksen assembly Constituency in Tuensang District, Nagaland by the Election Commission of India through press note dated 16th march 2021, and in pursuance of the Chief Electoral Officer, Nagaland press release no. ELE CDT - 118/2021 dated March 2021.

JACOB ZHIMOMI COMMISSIONS AUGMENTATION OF WATER SUPPLY TO FIVE VILLAGES            

Minister of Public Health Engineering (PHED), Jacob Zhimomi, on 16th March 2021 formally commissioned augmentation of water supply to five villages in Japukong range at Yajang 'C' village in the presence of Minister of Technical Education and Tribal Affairs, Temjen Imna Along and Advisor, Kazheto Kinimi, Chief Engineer PHED, Er. Repayangba Longkumer and representatives from five village councils.
