The Wokha District Bharat Scout &Guides today inducted Kepelhouzo Terhuja, District Education Officer (DEO) as District Chief Commissioner BS&G and Thungrhomo Odyuo, Sr. SDEO as District Secretary BS&G held at Sr. SDEO Office Chamber Wokha on 15th October 2020.

An awareness and demonstration programme on EVM/VVPAT machines for the conduct of Bye-Election to the 14 Southern Angami I (ST) Assembly Constituency, which began on 14th October 2020 will conclude tomorrow, the 17th October 2020. 

The full text is as follows:

“A total of 76 COVID-19 positive cases have been detected today – 38 in Kohima, 11 in Dimapur, 1 in Mokokchung, 5 in Mon, 3 in Peren, 15 in Tuensang and 3 in Zunheboto. The total number of positive cases in the State now stands at 7,492.

Altogether 5 candidates filed their nomination for the Bye-Election to 60 Pungro-Kiphire on 16th October 2020 at ADC & RO office Kiphire. Following are the list of the candidates who have filed their nomination:

1.       Khaseo Anar from Congress party.

2.       K.Shellumthong from Independent party.

3.       Lirimong Sangtam from BJP.

4.       T.Yangseo Sangtam from Independent party.

5.       Kiusumew Yimchunger from Independent party.

In the interest of public health and safety in view of COVID-19 pandemic and in exercise of powers conferred under Section 30 (1), (2) of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, the Deputy Commissioner and Chairman District Task Force Tuensang, Kumar Ramnikant IAS has ordered the Sealing of the office of the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Tuensang for a period of 48 (Forty-eight) hours or till further order with immediate effect.
