The Urban Development Department, Nagaland in a notification dated 6th December 2020 informed that in pursuance to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Government of India order dated 13th February 2020, using of flex banners/ boards/ posters by departments/ institutions/ government agencies in government offices during functions/ programmes, etc. has been totally banned with immediate effect.

With reference to the Ministry of Home Affairs' notification No. 3350(E) dated 28.09.2020 declaring National Socialist Council of Nagaland (Khaplang) as Unlawful Association under sub-section (1) of Section 3 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967, the Home Department, Nagaland has issued the following notification from the Ministry, the full text of which is as follows :

Deputy Commissioner, Wokha, Orenthung Lotha informs that some individuals are constructing buildings/structures along the NH-02 stretch starting from KM 101 to KM 125 (Tsungiki second bazaar to Doyang bridge).

Deputy Commissioner, Phek, Sachin Jaiswal, IAS has directed all the landowners/other governmental/non-governmental agencies that under section 9(2) of the Nagaland Land Requisition and Acquisition Act 1965 for construction of 2-Laning of Kohima – Jessami Road (Bharatmala Pariyojana) to clear up/vacate the compensated buildings, plantations, fisheries and any other structures on the ROW along packages III, IV & V within 15 days from the date of issue of this order.

On account of the on-going COVID-19 pandemic and with a view to contain the risk of spread of COVID-19 during the winter season which coincides with Flu season coupled with the ensuing Festive Season, the Department of Health & Family Welfare held a consultative meeting with Church Organizations, Civil Society Organisations, representatives of District Administration and Municipal Council was held on 16thDecember 2020.
