Nagaland Board of School Education has notified for the information of the Heads of Registered Institutions that the Ministry of Education, Department of School Education & Literacy, Government of India has directed State Boards to celebrate 26th November as Samvidan Diwas (Constitution Day) to commemorate the day of adoption of our Constitution, as a part of ‘Azadi Ki Amrit Mahotsav’
President of India will be leading the celebration of Constitution Day live from Central Hall of Parliament on 26th November 2021 from 11:00 am onwards. The occasion will be graced by Vice President, Prime Minister, Speaker, Ministers, MPs and other dignitaries. The programme will be live streamed through Sansad TV/DD/Other TV channels and online portals.
The Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs will be setting up the following two portals so that school children can participate in these celebrations:
Portal for reading Preamble to the Constitution in 23 languages, i.e., 22 official languages and English. (https://readpreamble.nic.in)
·Portal for “Online Quiz on Constitutional Democracy”. (https://constitutionquiz.nic.in)
·These portals will be accessible to everybody to participate and get certificates.
Therefore, all Heads of Institutions have been requested to take note of the above celebration and take necessary action. Webinars/any other activity befitting the occasion may also be organized on 26th November 2021 while keeping COVID protocols in mind.
