Nagaland Board of School Education has notified for information of all Heads of Registered Institutions under NBSE that it has come to the Board’s knowledge that  some institutions are conducting a separate selection test for the ensuing HSLC & HSSLC Examinations 2022. Whereas, as per the Management of Examinations, page no.13 B.i, both Government and Private schools should not conduct a separate selection test to screen out the students. It may be noted that filling up of the forms does not mean the end of the academic session.
Instead, the Head of institutions are expected to make use of the available time to ensure that the concerned subject teachers take necessary steps and complete the syllabus and give remedial classes/measures for all categories of the students. Schools should also see that students with Special Needs are given due attention.
Further, schools have been requested to adopt the following measures to track the learning outcomes of the students:
Students who could not fare well in the class tests/assessment should be identified and give remedial teaching followed by reassessment.
Parents should be informed on the progress of their ward’s performance during the year so that they can also lend their support.
Reviewing the performance and growth of the students’ learning is important for resolving the students’ deficit areas.
Therefore, the schools conducting a separate selection test are directed to abide by the rules as mentioned in the Management of Examinations.
