“Dear citizens of Nagaland,
Good evening,
Till date a total of 763 samples have been sent for testing from the State. Results of 712 samples have been received and all are negative. Results for 51 samples are awaited. Today a total of 3126 persons have been screened and a total of 80 persons are under Facility Quarantine.
In connection to the dedicated Nagaland COVID-19 HelplineToll Free Number 1800 345 0019 as of 4.00 pm on 5th May 2020, a total of 64 calls have been registered for telemedicine consultation , Mental health Counselling, Digital support for app users, COVID information centre and Complaints and Grievance Redressal.
Today the Honorable Chief Minister of Nagaland Shri Neiphiu Rio visited Mon and Tuensang districts to review the preparedness in combating COVID-19. During his visit he inspected the district hospitals, distributed relief materials and held meetings with the district administration, district task forces and Civil Societies. The Honorable Chief Minister was accompanied by the Honorable Deputy Chief Minister, the Honorable Health and Family Welfare Minister, the Honorable Environment, Forest & Climate Change, Justice & Law Minister and the Honorable Transport, Civil Aviation & Railways, Land Resources Minister.
I would like to inform that the State Government has allowed inter-district movement of stranded persons to return to their home districts/villages during the period from 7th May 2020 to 9th May 2020. All Deputy Commissioners across the state have been directed to make necessary arrangements to facilitate the movement of people to their respective destinations. NST bus services will be provided for the transportation of such persons.
I conclude by requesting every one to always wear a face mask in the public places, follow proper hand hygiene and social distancing norms; which are crucial measures for preventing the spread of the Virus.
