The Urban Local Bodies (ULB) elections in Dimapur were held on 26th June, 2024 covering a total of 23 wards with 118 polling stations from the Dimapur Municipal Council (DMC) and 7 ward with 11 polling stations from the East Dimapur Town Council (EDTC). The elections commenced at 7:30 AM and witnessed significant voter turnout across various polling stations.

The DMC has 60,281 registered voters, while the EDTC has 10,245 voters. Voters came out in large numbers to exercise their democratic rights, ensuring a vibrant and participatory election process.

It is to be noted that two candidates from the Dimapur Municipal Council and four candidates from the East Dimapur Town Council were elected uncontested.

Observers for the elections, Arenla Jamir for the DMC and Imsongmeren for the EDTC were at the polling stations to oversee the smooth conduct of the election process.
