Following the detection of African Swine Fever (ASF) at Thizama Village under Chiephobozou Block of Kohima district, the Deputy Commissioner, Kohima has notified and declared ban within a 1 km radius of the infected premises, as an Infected Zone. Additionally, a 10 km radius from the infected premises, covering a 9 km radius outside the Infected Zone, has been designated as a Surveillance Zone. 

In light of this situation, a ban has been imposed on the slaughter of pigs, the import and export of pigs and piglets, and the transportation of pigs and pork until further orders. 

The public is requested to adhere strictly to these restrictions to aid in the containment of the disease.
