On the second and final day of Fifth Session of the 14th Nagaland Legislative Assembly on 29th August 2024, Minister, PWD (R&B), G. Kaito Aye, while replying to a starred question raised by MLA, Achumbemo Kikon in regard to construction of Road from L/025 to Sungkha Village under Bandhari Sub-division, Wokha said that 66.93% of the work has been completed till date.
Kaito also informed the house that the delay of completion of work was due to major landslide at 19th Km and the inability to transport machineries and equipment required for FDR and blacktopping works beyond the affected area. The Minister further said that a total of Rs. 1314.40 lakhs has been paid to the contractor till date and informed that the Department is in close coordination with the contractor concerned and efforts has been accelerated for the completion of works during this financial year.
