Along with the rest of the country, Khiamniungan Students Union (KSU) in collaboration
with the District Administration and School Education department, Noklak organized
Teacher’s Day celebration at Public ground, Noklak on 5th September 2024 under the theme “
En-powering education for a sustainable future”.
Deputy Commissioner, NoklaK, Arikumba in his address acknowledged the teachers for
being nurturer of the society and the cradle of professions. He urged that it is a duty of one to
honour and extend appreciation to teachers, adding that the success of a nation depends on the
value given to the teaching professions. |Asserting that Noklak district being new and young with
many challenges and issues in many areas, the DC urged everyone not to let evil minds take
advantage of the challenges rather let commitments be the driving force behind the initiatives.
Stating that the role of a teacher is critical and adventurous at the same time, the DC encouraged
the teachers to recognize their role in the society. He extended his appreciation to the KSU for
organising the programme in a befitting matter.
President Eastern Nagaland Students Federation, Chingmak Chang in his speech
appreciated the teachers for working tirelessly for the upliftment of the students. He requested
the teachers to be true to their profession and mould the students irrespective of their
background.
SDEO incharge Noklak, Y, Khongkhao acknowledged and congratulated the two state
Teachers’ awardees: KV Joseph Senior Teacher, Holy Angels School, Noklak and T. Chiye, PT
GMS, Sanglao. He also presented the District teachers awardees to B. Ruth, PGT, GHSS Noklak
and P.L Shingnya, GPS Noklak Village.
Welcome addressed was delivered by representative of KSU, P. Shangchiu while vote of
thanks was delivered by Education Secretary, KSU, Ningpao.
Teachers and students from various Schools from both Private and government Schools
under Noklak District attended the programme.
