The Regional Transport Authority (RTA), Dimapur, has invited applications for Two-Wheeler Taxi Permits for eligible candidates from Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and Niuland. The announcement was made following the Transport Department’s notification dated 28th January 2025, and a subsequent RTA meeting on February 25, 2025.

A total of 200 permits have been allocated—100 for Dimapur, 75 for Chümoukedima, and 25 for Niuland. Interested candidates must submit their applications at their respective Deputy Commissioner’s offices.

Eligibility Criteria will be for the Indigenous inhabitants of Nagaland aged between 20 to 40 years, for the Permanent residents of Dimapur, Chümoukedima, and Niuland with a residence certificate issued by the respective administrative office.

Documents required will be Aadhaar card, Indigenous Inhabitant Certificate, Schedule Tribe Certificate, Valid driving licence, and Unemployment card.

Candidates who applied earlier must reapply using the prescribed new format. Application forms will be available at the respective DC offices from February 27, 2025. The last date for submission is March 11, 2025. Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.

Shortlisted applicants will have to undergo a two-wheeler riding test and an interview, details of which will be notified later. Additionally, permit holders must be the riders of the two-wheeler taxis and submit an undertaking confirming the same.
