The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has launched a new online portal — https://conference.epolclearance.gov.in — to streamline the process of granting political clearances to foreign nationals attending conferences, seminars, workshops, and sporting events organised in India by Government/autonomous institutions/private bodies.

The user-friendly platform aims to reduce processing times and supports the Digital India Mission by making the service fully online. The MEA has requested all departments and institutions to use and promote the portal, and has invited feedback for further improvement.
