The Office of the Commissioner of Police, Dimapur has issued a traffic advisory restriction on vehicular movement on a specific stretch of NH-36, till the completion of road construction and strengthening works.

The traffic advisory stated that the newly laid Dry Lean Concrete (DLC) and Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC) surface from Km 165.600 to Km 165.925—below the Flyover along the Dimapur Railway Siding from Blue Hill Police Assistant Booth (PAB) to the Flyover Y-Junction exit—will remain closed to all vehicular traffic until May 15, 2025. The restriction is aimed at allowing sufficient curing time to ensure the durability and structural integrity of the concrete pavement.

Light Motor Vehicles (LMVs) will be permitted to ply on the stretch starting May 16, 2025. However, Heavy Motor Vehicles (HMVs) will only be allowed after the curing process is fully completed.

The advisory is issued following a directive from the Executive Engineer of PWD National Highway Division, Kohima. It urged the public to cooperate for the safety and longevity of the newly developed road.
