Deputy Commissioner Kohima, B. Henok Buchem, NCS has issued an order in view of worsening condition of the National Highway-29 below Old KMC dumping site (near Shiva Mandir), and the ongoing restoration works carried out by the department, the section of the National Highway shall remain closed to all forms of traffic till further notice.

All heavy vehicles, including water tankers/ movement of military and Para-military vehicles, etc., compact/mid-size pick-up vehicles and mid-size and heavy commercial passenger vehicles shall be diverted to Peducha Bridge-Tsiesema (10 Mile Road).

Only the LMVs shall be allowed to pass through the Jotsoma Bypass road. This order is issued to ensure public safety and smooth execution of restoration works. Violation of this order shall be liable for prosecution under relevant sections of law.
