The much-awaited Closing Function of the 12th Inter-Departmental Tournament 2025 was held on 31st October 2025 at DSCZ Indoor Stadium, bringing the three-day-long sporting event, which saw the participation of 55 departments under Zunheboto district to a spirited conclusion. Public Health Engineering Department (PHED), Zunheboto, clinched the Overall Championship, while 8th NAP, Naltoqa, emerged as the Runners-up.
The closing programme was chaired by Zakato L. Zhimomi, Member of the District Sports Council Zunheboto (DSCZ). The invocation was led by Watirenla, Associate Youth Pastor, Zunheboto Ao Baptist Arogo, setting a reflective tone for the event.
In his addressed, Guest of Honour, Kupe Kapfo, Superintendent of Police, Zunheboto acknowledge the collective efforts of all departments, players, and organizers in making the tournament a grand success.
The event also featured the final matches and a special song presented by Leah P. Kiba added a touch of melody and celebration to the occasion and the vote of thanks was delivered by Nihoshe Jimo, Vice Chairman, DSCZ.
The highlight of the evening was the Prize Distribution Ceremony graced by Inato Zhimo, General Secretary, DSCZ, who felicitated the winners and runners-up of the various sporting categories.
