The District level Padayatra was successfully conducted on 7th November 2025 at Government Higher Secondary School, Pungro. The event was organized by the Ministry of youth affairs and sports, GOI in coordination with district administration.

The function aimed to honour the life and legacy of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel during his 150th birth anniversary. 

Neilizo Tep, ADC Pungro, in his address, highlighted the glorious life of Sardar Vallabhai Patel (Iron man of India) and the legacy he left behind. The same sentiment was shared by Kishore Dulam, District youth officer, Kiphire, who expressed gratitude. 

The programme was initiated with the National Song and a floral tribute from the students of Government Higher Secondary School, Pungro, beautifully showcasing various cultural performance. It culminated with flagging off Padayatra by ADC, and unity March from Government Higher Secondary School, Pungro to ADC office, Pungro.
