Superintendent of Police Wokha, T. Relo Aye, NPS, has confirmed on 14th November 2025 for the arrest of four individuals in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a 15-year-old minor girl. The arrests followed after a written complaint was received on November 10, 2025.

The accused have been identified as Chumlanthung Y Humtsoe (26), Zurenthung R Odyuo (19), Zuchanbemo Felix (29), and Khyothungo Yanthan (21). As per the complaint, the incident occurred on November 4, 2025, where Zurenthung R Odyuo was allegedly assaulting the minor along with two of his friends. 

The case has been registered at Wokha Women Police Station under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act.

During the course of investigation, another individual, Myinthungo Humtsoe, was identified as being involved in the case and is currently absconding. Police efforts to locate him are on-going. The investigation remains in progress.
