The Department of Fire & Emergency Services, Nagaland, Kohima has informed that in view to ease the burden and reduce the time consuming process, applicants requiring No Objection Certificate (NOC)/ Fire Safety Certificate are to submit a dully filled application form (form "D") of NFES Act, 2021 (along with required documents such as building plan, site plan, layout plan, fire safety measure plan, etc) addressed to the Officer-in- Charge.

After conducting site inspection of the premises for verifying installations of fire and life safety by the IOs/Asst. IOs, OCs are to forward the inspection report to FHQ along with requisite document (as noted above) only after compliance and fulfilment of criteria for granting of NOC.

IOs/Asst. IOs are also directed to maintain proper records of the inspection, such as the no. of inspection carried out/site visit, Inspection date and time, distance from the Fire station and type of occupancy whereby the data so is to be provided as and when required by FHQ.
