The Principal Secretary & Home Commissioner, Abhijit Sinha, IAS in a circular has informed that along with the rest of the country, Nagaland will also be celebrating the Constitution Day on 26th November, 2025 to commemorate the adoption of the Constitution of India, coinciding with the culmination of year-long celebrations themed as "Hamara Samvidhan - Hamara Swabhiman".
All the AHoDs have been requested to give instructions for organizing programme in the Directorates and all the District offices of the Departments on 26th November 2025 to celebrate the Constitution Day in which the Preamble to the Constitution shall be read out, which is reproduced below:
"WE, THE PEOPLE OF INDIA, having solemnly resolved to constitute India into a SOVEREIGN SOCIALIST SECULAR DEMOCRATIC REPUBLIC and to secure to all its citizens:
JUSTICE, social, economic and political;
LIBERTY of thought, expression, belief, faith and worship;
EQUALITY of status and of opportunity; and to promote among them all
FRATERNITY assuring the dignity of the individual and the unity and integrity of the Nation;
IN OUR CONSTITUENT ASSEMBLY this twenty-sixth day of November, 1949, do HEREBY ADOPT, ENACT AND GIVE TO OURSELVES THIS CONSTITUTION."

A report of action taken may be submitted by all HoDs to Home Department positively.
