Deputy Commissioner, Mon, Wennyei Konyak, NCS, expressed his gratitude to the NHIDCL for the generous gesture and handed over the keys of the newly provided ambulances to the Chief Medical Officer, Mon. He also appealed to have ownership of the vehicle and to use it judiciously and cater to the needs of the people.

CMO, Mon thanked the NHIDCL for providing the ambulances as these ambulances will significantly strengthen the emergency response system, especially in remote and hard-to-reach areas of the district. The initiative is particularly beneficial for pregnant women, elderly patients, victims of accident and individuals requiring urgent medical attention, the CMO added.

It is also pertinent to mention that, NHIDCL has earlier donated 24 Basic Life Support (BLS) ambulances to the Government of Nagaland in April 2021 and four more ambulances to the Nagaland Police in October 2021.

The ambulances were flagged off by the Deputy Commissioner to their respective locations, marking a significant step towards improving emergency medical response and healthcare delivery in the district.
