The Office of the Deputy Commissioner, Dimapur, issued a circular on 23rd March 2026 regulating the distribution of commercial LPG cylinders in the district, following instructions from the Food and Civil Supplies Department.
The circular stated that priority allocation would be given to essential sectors such as hospitals, educational institutions, hotels, restaurants, bakeries, dairies, and transport-related establishments. Distribution would be made strictly on request through the DC’s office.
To prevent hoarding and ensure fair distribution, the monthly supply to each consumer will be based on the average consumption of the previous three months, as recorded by Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs).
Distributors have been directed to maintain date-wise records, and in case of delay, supply will be made on a first-come, first-served basis. It further instructed to submit daily distribution reports to the DC office.
