In view of an upcoming VIP transit on April 2, the Commissioner of Police, Aotula T. Imchen, has imposed strict security restrictions across Chumoukedima district.
As per the official order, the district will be declared a “Red Zone” (No-Fly Zone) from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM on the day. The use of drones and any kind of Remotely Piloted Aircraft (RPA) has been completely prohibited during this period.
The order also bans all forms of firing practice by security forces, civil police, private agencies, and licensed firearm holders. In addition, the bursting of firecrackers has been strictly restricted within the specified hours.
The directive has been issued as part of heightened security measures to ensure the safe and smooth movement of the VIP. Authorities stated that the order will be circulated widely through official channels and public notices.
Residents have been requested to cooperate with the administration and comply with the restrictions to maintain public safety and security.
